This is day 3 of 100 Days of Sketching. The prompt was desk job.
Here is my drawing:
I went literal with the desk part of the prompt by drawing a desk. Then, I added the python logo to the monitor to suggest that whoever works at this desk is a programmer or software developer. It was fun to practice drawing in two-point perspective. I haven’t drawn anything in perspective in about a year. So, I definitely needed to reference some YouTube videos to orient myself to tackle perspective.
Here is my reference image(s):

Self-Critique
What do I like about this drawing?
I think the drawing looks fine. It looks like it has depth, which I think is good. I utilized two-point perspective to draw the desk. I think that draw was relatively simple that way because it is mostly boxes that I ended up drawing with the only exception being the back of the chair.
What could be better about this drawing?
I think that if I had suggested a wall and the floor it would look like it was in a room. Also, the chair looks a little funky. Probably should have slowed down to make it look more like the reference image.
How does this compare to my previous drawing?
I think each drawing looks a little bit better than the previous. I opted not to color anything in this drawing. If I were to, it would have been the python logo. Also, the lines are still a bit wobbly. Maybe I should draw the lines more quickly, the speed might compensate for the lack of steadiness. Then the lines may look more confident.
Thank you!
